Dungarpur, a district dominated by tribal population, has a high prevalence of unskilled, male, seasonal outmigration. The severe resource limitations at the household level, lead to paucity of the availability of nutritious food. As per the NFHS 2015-16 surveys the rate of under 5 severely wasted is estimated to be 16.10% which is the highest amongst all the districts of Rajasthan. After the identification of the district, the key officials from the health department were approached and thereby we got remarkable support from CM&HO, Reproductive and Child Health Officer & other district administration officials. This is the first time that a Government department took lead on such an event and CM&HO issued letter of invitation to all the officials at district level. They extended their support to ACF/FHF team in identifying and inviting the public representatives.
